Energizer Reworks Lines
Energizer last month announced a retooling of its flagship Energizer brand, placing its photo battery line under the Energizer e2 umbrella, readying a new Energizer ACCU Rechargeable and designing an innovative hearing aid battery dispenser. Energizer retooled its Energizer battery, giving it more power and easier-to-read packaging, for a brand relaunch as Energizer Max. Energizer says it will roll out "further performance enhancements" to the Energizer e2 brand this fall, specifically promising that by Fall 2001, Energizer e2 "will last up to 23 percent longer in high-drain devices than when it was first introduced." Energizer also relaunched its photo battery line under the Energizer e2 brand to offer what the company says is "the only AA 1.5-volt lithium battery in the world." For the Energizer ACCU Rechargeable line, the company will introduce a new AA 1600 mAh battery that it says will provide a 33 percent performance improvement over previous SKUs. In the hearing aid battery category, the company introduced a Energizer EZ change dispenser, designed to eliminate the need to handle tiny hearing aid batteries and allow hearing aid users to easily replace their hearing aid batteries every time. A magnetic arm allows for precise placement and can be used to remove old batteries. It will be available in all four 10, 13, 312 and 675 battery sizes. The patent-pending product will begin shipping nationally for sale by October 2001.
