Two More CD-Based Digital Cameras From Sony
Following the last year's debut of its CD-based digital camera, MVC-CD100, Sony Electronics introduced two more CD Mavica digital cameras that use CD-RW and CD-R media. The MVC-CD200 and MVC-CD300 both capture still images and MPEG videos. The MVC-CD200, with resolution of 2.1, will become available in June for about $800. This model has a 3x optical zoom lens and 6x digital zoom. The MVC-CD300, also available starting in June, will retail for about $1,000. The MVC-CD300 has a 3x Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar lens and burst and bracketing modes. Both models have extensive manual controls and a choice of three MPEG movie modes.
