Poppe Starts As Conn’s CFO, Rogers Retires
Conn’s, as the retailer previously announced late last spring, said Michael Poppe officially became the company’s CFO on February 1 and that David Rogers, its former CFO, retired on January 31.
Poppe, 40, has served as Conn’s controller and assistant CFO and assistant treasurer since he joined the company in 2004. In the 14 yearsbefore joining Conn’s, Poppe served in various accounting and finance management positions at Arthur Andersen and in automotive retail companies, most recently as vice president and corporate controller of Group 1 Automotive. Poppe is a certified public accountant and received his BBA in accounting and finance from Texas A&M University in 1989.
