Porritt Sets Record Straight on Colorado vNet Sale
Charlie Porritt, the CEO of Russound, sat down with our sister site CustomRetailer this week to clear up any misconceptions about the sale of Colorado vNet. On April 25, Russound announced the sale of Colorado vNet Corp. to a new company created by its former vice president of sales and marketing Mike Anderson.
“First and foremost, this sale brings focus. We were pulled in too many different directions before. We believe that both companies will now thrive without as many distractions as there were in the past," Porritt said. "By getting back on track with the core business of delivering high value electronics, speakers and accessories to the residential and commercial systems integration channels we will be able to really attack the marketplace and specifically execute our new business plan.
“A huge chunk of the Russound business is through distribution, with our dealers being of paramount importance to us; again we can bring the focus back to Russound. Colorado vNet can continue their focus on product development and hospitality. What we have here is a unique situation and a true win-win forboth companies.”
