Premium Product Focus Pays Off in Black Friday Sales for Video and Audio Center
Southern California’s Video and Audio Center reports that sales through Black Friday week and into this week have been trending up 37 percent over last year for the same period – and that customers are predominantly opting for 65- and 75-inch mid- and upper-tier 4K TVs rather than searching for inexpensive, Tier-Three TVs. Company spokesperson Tom Campbell said that the sales increase is all the more impressive, in that premium-level 4K TVs are more reasonably priced than they were at comparable screen sizes in 2014.
“People are just not looking for $99 40-inch tertiary brands in TV,” said Campbell.
Audio, too, is selling briskly, with sound bars and Sonos product sales “through the roof,” he said. “It’s been a very promising Q4 so far – beyond our expectations,” said Campbell.
