Profitable Products for Independent Dealers
Dealerscope recently spoke with the top channel executives from the major TV manufacturers to find out what they have to offer independent and specialty dealers in the coming months. Here are excerpts from the interviews. For more, please see the August issue of Dealerscope.
DEALERSCOPE: Which one of your newest products will bring the independent dealer the most sales, profits and foot traffic over the next six months?
Scott Ramirez, Vice President, Product Marketing & Development, TV and Digital AV, Toshiba: Different products in the line are good for the independent for different reasons. Our 19- and 24-inch LEDs are aggressively priced and high-volume products that bring in footsteps, and people need them. Those are quick, easy sales and a great value, and good traffic-drivers. At the other end, there is our Cinema Series, the UL7610 Series for select distribution, which really takes a selling floor. Then, in between, we're one of the only manufacturers offering both active and passive 3D series within our brand. In addition, we offer short-term specials to help them take advantage of peak seasons or holidays.
