ProSource Adds DISH Network to its Vendor Roster
Buying group ProSource has added DISH Network as a new vendor, providing its more than 550 specialty retailers and custom integrators with access to DISH’s residential and commercial video offerings, including the company’s satellite television, live streaming and over-the-air solutions, Sling TV and AirTV.
ProSource members, through the newly forged partnership, can also now avail themselves of DISH’s Custom Integration Program. The program gives them an easy way to create subscription accounts for clients, and it provides access to skilled technicians for site surveys and complex installs. It also includes access to a dedicated support hotline managed by a concierge team. DISH also recently introduced a new revenue sharing program, providing integrators with a recurring monthly revenue (RMR) incentive per qualifying purchased DISH account.
“ProSource recognizes the value of DISH as a content management partner,” Dave Workman, CEO and president of ProSource, said in the announcement statement. “RMR for dealers that sell the satellite platform is an attractive option for our members.”
DISH’s Hopper 3, a 4K-capable set-top box with 16 tuners, affords integrators the ability to store up to 2,000 hours of recorded content, and it may be integrated with home control automation platforms. Hopper 3 also provides access to built-in apps such as Netflix, voice control via Google and Amazon, and more than 70,000 on-demand movies, TV series and events.
