RadioShack Looking at Apple-Like Stores
RadioShack is reportedly giving consideration to a new store concept that would emulate Apple’s Apple Retail Stores. That’s according to an Associated Press story Monday, which cited a report by a Deutsche Bank analyst.
Analyst Mike Baker said he has information that RadioShack plans to open three stores testing the concept this fall, with ten opening by year’s end and up to 150 in the next year. The stores are said to “replicate the look and feel” of Apple stores, with a special emphasis on touch-screen phone products.
RadioShack decline to comment when reached by the AP.
