RadioShack To Close Ohio Distribution Center
RadioShack has announced plans to close a distribution center in Groveport, Ohio, which will result in the elimination of 69 jobs, the Columbus Dispatch newspaper reported. The company will also close a retail outlet operated in the building.
The plan to close the building was revealed in a letter from the company to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. The nearly-300,000 square-foot facility had been open and operated by the company since the 1970s, the paper reported. The stated reason for the closure was that there is excess capacity available in its Fort Worth, Tex. and Hagerstown, Md. warehouses.
