Rafi Spero, Chief Operating Oficer, NeatReceipts
Education: Yeshiva University, New York City
Career History: Spero started out as a manager for BearingPoint’s change management practice. He co-founded NeatReceipts with his father, Les, in 2002 as a way to simplify the expense report process for the mobile professional. Today, NeatReceipts’ Scanalizer is designed to help everyone—from small business owners, road warriors and CEOs to household COOs—de-clutter the paper influx. From its beginnings at a Philly airport kiosk, the Scanalizer can now be found at some of the nation’s biggest retailers such as Amazon and Staples. Under his leadership, NeatReceipts has grown from $500,000 in revenue in 2004, to $8.6 million in 2006, and projects sales of almost $20 million in 2007. Spero has also raised over $7 million in financing for the company.
