Lifestyle gaming brand, Razer, is on a mission to eliminate audio lag with their new Razer Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds. The earbuds use a customized Bluetooth 5.0 that delivers ultra-low latency and high quality audio—all while extending battery life. Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds are intended to immerse users in their favorite games, music, movies, and movies without the distraction and annoyance of lag, stutter, and de-synching that commonly occurs with other Bluetooth devices.
“The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds are the perfect wireless audio solution for mobile users,” says Alvin Cheung, Senior Vice President of Razer’s peripherals business unit. “Users will have rich, immersive lag-free sound for their movies, music and gaming, without wires to get tangled or snagged as they go.”
Razer also added a Gaming Mode to the earbuds, which reduces latency to 60ms allowing for a near-perfect synch. They also added a 13mm driver and a 20-20kHz frequency response for a broad soundscape and “beefy bass” through to top-end clarity.
The earbuds alone offer three hours of battery life, with up to four charges from the charging case. Users can control their Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds through the Razer app. There, they can choose to change the voice prompt language, access software updates for the earbuds, and read FAQs including how to use the touch controls located on the earbuds. Music controls include: play, pause, skip, and previous; call controls include: answer, reject, switch, and end; and other controls include: pair, power, and activate smartphone virtual assistant.
The Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds are available at Razer.com today for $99.99 USD. Razer offers a one-year warranty with the earbuds and risk-free returns up to 14 days.
