Redbox May Add Games
Redbox, the company whose inexpensive movie retail kiosks have given Hollywood fits, is looking at expanding its footprint into givdeo games.
According to Reuters, the company is in talks with video game developers about offering their products in its kiosks. The CEO of the company's parent company, Coinstar, told Reuters that he hopes the company's relationship with the gaming industry isn't as adversarial as that between Redbox and the movie industry.
Three major studios- Warner Bros., Fox and Universal- have pulled their DVDs from Redbox, which rents titles for $1 per day.
