Redbox Looks at Games
Redbox, the DVD rental kiosk system that has been shaking up the movie rental market, is making a foray into video games. According to Home Media Magazine, Redbox is testing video game rentals in two markets.
The tests, which are taking place in Reno, Nev. and Wilmington, N.C., makes games available for all major consoles, including the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. The games are available for $2/per day, compared with $1/per day for movies.
