Refrigeration 2001 - Efficiency and Technology

Technology and energy efficiency are hallmarks of the 2001 introductions in refrigeration. With growing energy concerns in the western United States and the entrance of the Internet into nearly every consumer electronic device, both features will be "cool" marketing devices for refrigeration.
Maytag is using energy efficiency as a top selling point for most of its line, including refrigerators. Since December, the company has been training its retail partners, at 600 Maytag Home Appliance Centers nationwide, to become Energy Star retail partners. Te program requiress the retailer to know how to articulate the benefits of energy-efficient appliances to consumers.
