Report: Apple Selling 95 iPhones Per Store, Per Day
Sales of the iPhone 3G are rising so much that one analyst has raised his forecast of sales for the fourth quarter.
According to AppleInsider.com, analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray found that Apple Retail Stores in the U.S. are selling an average of 95 iPhones per day nationwide. As a result of the big sales, Munster now predicts that the company will sell 4.47 million of the units, worldwide, in the quarter beginning in September.
Due mostly to shortages, Munster found that AT&T stores are selling only about five units per day. His report was issued Wednesday, just before Apple announced that the iPhone would be available at Best Buy starting next month.
