Report: Sony Planning to Up Bravia Shipments
Following the runaway success in 2007 of its Bravia line of LCD TVs, Sony plans to raise its shipping target of the sets for 2008.
According to Afterdawn.com, citing a DigiTimes report, Bravia will ship 16 million units, worldwide, in 2008, up from around 10 million in 2007. However, even with the jump Bravia is expected to remain behind rival Samsung, which will ship 20 million LCD TVs this year.
