ReQuest and Ripping Revolution have partnered to co-promote their products at CEDIA Expo 2006. Ripping Revolution specializes in loading music CDs onto media servers while ReQuest’s mutli-room audio iQ System is media-server based. Bill McKiegan, ReQuest’s vice president of marketing and sales, describes iQ as “the most significant new product introduction for ReQuest in the history of the company,” adding, “Partnering with Ripping Revolution to promote this new product category for ReQuest will provide a valuable service to our installers saving them time and money.” Robotic and computer automation enhance Ripping Revolution’s services, along with the inclusion of CD cover art and accurate cataloging of all other metadata. McKiegan lauds the value added by this service, explaining, “As the user experience is more an extension of the quality of metadata, professional encoding and grooming becomes an important component of system design.”
