LCD Outlook Improves Worldwide
Research firm DisplaySearch has upped its outlook for global LCD TV shipments from 127 million units to 130 million. The adjustment amounts to a 24 percent growth on the year from last year.
DisplaySearch made the change based on rising demand in both North America and China.
However, the overall forecast for shipments of TVs was reduced by 3 percent, to 195 million units, based largely on a significant drop in demand for traditional CRT TVs, especially in the developing world.
