RIM Confirms Second Storm on the Way
Research in Motion is indeed preparing a second version of the BlackBerry Storm, and plans to continue its push further into the consumer market, the company's co-CEO confirmed Monday.
According to Reuters, RIM co-CEO Jim Balsillie confirmed the product during an analyst and investor presentation. Balsillie added that more than half of RIM subscribers are now outside of the corporate market. The Storm, released last fall, was the company's first touchscreen BlackBerry and its most consumer-focused product yet.
The company did not say when the device is expected to appear.
