PlayBook Catching on in Corporate World
Research in Motion's BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, which won't even be released until January, is catching on in a big way in the corporate world, according to a Bloomberg News report Thursday.
RIM, which has traditionally held a commanding position in the corporate smartphone market but has started in slip of late, has already signed up some major corporate clients, including Sun Life Financial Inc., which purchased 1,000 of the devices. The PlayBook's encryption capability was a big factor in Sun Life's decision, a company executive told Bloomberg.
