Sears, Kmart Launch Gaming Effort
Retailers and corporate siblings Sears and Kmart announced last week that it will begin offering preorders for several gaming products, including all three major consoles and several major games, including the upcoming "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2," "Guitar Hero: Van Halen" and "Band Hero."
The announcement comes as Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have all announced price cuts for their main consoles.
"Sears and Kmart customers are able to choose from a wide selection of top brands with accessories and games compatible with nearly every system on the market," Karen Austin, president of home electronics for the parent Sears Holding Co., said as part of the announcement. "Combine our unbeatable assortment with great prices and our expert sales consultants, and it is easy to see why more savvy shoppers are choosing Sears and Kmart for their home electronics and gaming purchases."
