Jeff Miller, Ovation's marketing director, said the important effect was the message it sent out to the customers. "It has positioned us as a leader for that technology and as being knowledgeable people."
Mincy echoed this sentiment saying, "Our fashions are technology. Advertising and merchandising need to reflect that. What we've been able to do in Indianapolis is associate our name—our brand if you will—with the hottest new fashion or technology, which is digital television. The result is we've gained a tremendous amount of business in big screen sales."
This first success led Ovation to continue its commitment to keeping a finger on the pulse of the broadcast community, partnering with other stations, such as WISH-TV, a CBS affiliate in Indianapolis.
