Remember Spinnable? They’re the immersive technology company that launched a social media network last week geared exclusively towards the sharing of 360-degree content. Spins—as these posts are called—work through VR headsets and Google Cardboard-type devices, but also let smartphone users physically move in a circle to experience the entire view, or they can push the image around with their finger.
At the time of their initial announcement, Spinnable said it was available on iOS (for free) and would soon be coming to other platforms; meanwhile, they also said they are working with other third-party hardware and head mount device makers to bring their social network directly to VR headsets.
That brings us to the company’s announcement today.
