Riva Audio Adds Central Amplifier to Expanding WAND Ecosystem
Rive Audio has complimented their multi-room "+" system by adding the Riva Central to their portfolio, just in time for CES. The wireless amplifier gives homeowners the option to connect existing audio devices into the Riva WAND (Wireless Audio Network Design) through a variety of different I/O's.
"We designed the CENTRAL to give you full access to the RIVA WAND ecosystem without limitation to which speaker you listen to," says Rikki Farr, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of RIVA Audio. "Whether in-ceiling, in-wall, or your own legendary speakers, this unique device centralizes the control of all your music."
CENTRAL can connect devices like a turntable, USB memory stick, pair of bookshelf/in-wall speakers or an external amplifier/receiver and offers analog and optical digital inputs and outputs, USB input and an optional 55Wrms/channel into 4 ohms class-D amplifier. Users can also power on external amplifiers with the included 12V trigger and utilize the line level variable subwoofer output for a true 2.1 system. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay and DLNA and can stream seemingly unlimited audio content from Spotify Connect and others.
RIVA CENTRAL will be shipping in Spring 2018 with a black finish and retails for only $399.
