Analyst: Apple Tablet Coming Next Year
Rumors that Apple is working on a "media pad" tablet are true, and the company will likely introduce the products next year. That's according to a note issued Thursday by analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray, who follows Apple extensively.
According to the Silicon Alley Insider, Munster said that the tablet, measuring around 10 inches, will not be unveiled this year, despite rumors. The tablet, probably featuring a touchscreen interface larger than that of an iPhone or iPod Touch but smaller than a MacBook, would compete with netbooks, and cost in the $500-$700 range.
