Runco International announced plans Wednesday to launch seven new 1080p projectors at CEDIA 2006, establishing the broadest line of 1080p projectors in the home theater market. The line includes single-chip and 3-chip 1920 x 1080 DLP machines. Runco will demonstrate their flagship offering, the VX-55d, on the CEDIA floor.
The new additions include two Reflection Series models, the RS-1100 and RS-1100 Ultra, which use single-chip DLP light engines, and five Video Xtreme models, two of which are single-chip and three of which are 3-chip machines. All new models will be on display at CEDIA, and will be available in stores by October. Prices vary from $11,995 for the lowest end Reflection model to $115,000 for the highest end Xtreme projector.
Says Runco President Bob Hana, “Each of these 1080p products has been engineered to Runco’s exacting standards for the highest levels of video performance, and include Runco’s industry leading Vivix video processing. The result is stunning 1080p imagery that can take full advantage of the emerging HD DVD and Blu Ray high definition DVD technologies coming to market.”
