Audio firm Russound announced last week that it has named Charlie Porritt its new CEO. Porritt will succeed Joe Brouillet, who plans to retire in January and will move into a new role as a senior advisor to the CEO. Porritt will assume the CEO chair immediately.
Porritt came to Russound in 2000 as a regional manager and was promoted first to National Sales Director and later, in 2007, to Vice President of Sales. He had previously worked for SpeakerCraft and Harman International.
“Charlie quickly rose through our ranks, and with good reason,” Brouillet said in a statement. “He epitomizes professionalism with a mix of smarts, integrity and complete dedication to our customers.”
