Russound To Launch New Certified Installer Program
Russound is launching a Certified Installer Program for its Internet-based products to protect against their being bought through unauthorized sources while ensuring they will be installed by certified CIs.
The program, which will being detailed through a series of online webinars for the company’s certified installers, is the first such since the launch of the Sphere Certified Installer Program for Russound premium products. It is what Russound CEO Charlie Porritt called a “simpler, refined version” that will allow certified installers to “unlock” products – initially, the new MCA-66, MCA-88 and MCA-88x multizone controllers – through their dealer login that is used for access to the Russound portal. Each installer’s unique login will be usable to unlock any Internet-based product.
It’s a simpler procedure than for Sphere, which required personalized, multi-digit access codes and unique codes for each product, explained Colin Clark, product marketing manager. “Even though that was complex, dealers loved the exclusivity. Now, with this simple unlock, there are no hoops to jump through.”
