Well, 59 percent either agreed or strongly agreed that it would have an effect on their businesses. Another 36 percent answered that they were clueless and 5% felt it would have no effect on their businesses.
I am happy to see that over a third of respondents were at least honest enough to select the clueless option. It is my hope that those 36 percent clueless folks out there pay particular attention to this week’s podcast interview with Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of CEA. Here Mr. Shapiro clearly spells out the damage facing business and consumers should this legislation become law of the land.
The final question I asked had to do with having health insurance coverage provided through your employer. To that question 77 percent said their employer helped cover them and 23 percent said no.
