How Sam's Club Handles Wi-Fi
Sam's Club, which announced in-store Wi-Fi earlier this year, has had to institute some customer limits and content control on the networks, the company told website Storefront Backtalk.
The chain lets control of content on its TVs rest with store employees, in order to keep "inappropriate content" off the store's screens. The company is also setting bandwidth aside in order to keep product demos running smoothly.
Sam's Club also has plans to move towards some form of 2D barcodes so customers can obtain information about products.
