Samsung Donates $111K to End Domestic Violence
Samsung Electronics America presented New York Yankees manager Joe Torre with a check for $111,000 after pledging to donate $1,000 for each Yankee home run hit at Yankee Stadium in the 2006 season to charity. The funds went to the Torre-sanctioned domestic abuse program, “Home Run for Kids” -- part of Samsung’s Four Seasons of Hope charitable initiative.
