Samsung Launches Global NX10 Competition
Samsung held a press event Tuesday night in their Samsung Experience location in the Time Warner Center in Manhattan’s Columbus Circle. As part of the launch of their new NX10 camera they have organized what they are calling the World Creative Imaging Competition (WCIC), an International photo competition that is really a grass roots marketing campaign tied to the NX10.
The WCIC will involve over 120 students from visual arts schools around the world (6 countries in total). Students representing the U.S. from the School of Visual Arts in New York City were on hand at the launch event be and presented with the NX10 along with several Samsung lenses.
The students will challenged to create three unique images. Consumers will be allowed to judge the students’ images and the top 10 will have their work on exhibit at a gallery in Beijing where an overall winner will be announced.
