Samsung In Trouble Again, Recalls Washing Machine
Just what Samsung needs, more bad news. Most recently, the Note7 has been officially put to rest after a series of 'explosions' made the phone so unsafe it was banned from airplanes.
Today, their top-loading washer was recalled because the "top can unexpectedly detach from the washing machine chassis during use, posing a risk of injury from impact."
The voluntary recall of 2.8 million washers evolved from reports that the drum "may lose balance, triggering excessive vibrations, resulting in the top separating from the washer," Samsung said in their corporate blog. Samsung also released a list of the affected appliances on their website, identifying them as washers made after 2011 and only in North America.
