Samsung to Launch Notebooks in U.S.
After years of sales in Asia, Samsung will be launching its full line of consumer and business notebooks in the United States. The notebooks will first go through DMRs and e-tailers, with retail sales to follow.
“Our strategy was to create a soft launch to announce that Samsung is bringing its computers to the U.S.,” said Dave McFarland, senior product marketing manager for Samsung. “DMRs and retailers were the most effective route to take first.”
The notebooks will initially be sold trough DMRs, including PC Connection, Tiger Direct, CDW; and e-tailers such as Amazon.com and Newegg.com. Ingram Micro and D&H will handle distribution.
