Samsung to Make Bada Open Source
Samsung plans to make its Bada mobile device software open source next year, in an effort to reduce the company's reliance on Google's Android platform, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The report cited "a person familiar with the situation." It also stated that the Bada software could also be used in the company's smart TVs.
Bada was launched two years ago, mostly for use in Samsung's lower-end smartphones.
