Home control technology company Savant has appointed JC Murphy as its new president. Prior to joining Savant in 2011 as executive vice president of sales, he was the president and CEO of Cedar Point Communications.
Working with CEO Bob Madonna across the company’s functional teams, Murphy will drive all critical aspects of Savant’s business to accelerate the company’s channel growth and profitability, according to the announcement.
Other appointments include the naming of Craig Spinner as executive vice president of strategy. In that role, Spinner will head business development and corporate strategy for Savant. As the company continues its growth trajectory, he will be tasked to expand key external partnerships and maintain a vision of how to increase visibility for the Savant brand across all product categories. With the company since 2005, Spinner will leverage his understanding of the evolving control and automation marketplace.
For the energy management solutions brand Racepoint Energy, Savant has named Anna Demeo as president. An integral part of Racepoint Energy since the beginning, Demeo brings her industry experience, paired with her years in academia, enabling her to bring a broad base of technical knowledge and marketplace experience in the renewable energy and the electricity grid sector, according to the announcement statement.
“Savant’s and Racepoint Energy’s steady growth and increased brand visibility were the driving force behind adding key senior leadership positions within the companies,” said Madonna. “I am confident that this leadership team will continue to drive the culture of innovation that has become the hallmark of both companies.”
The personnel moves were designed to support the companies as they drive continued expansion and enhance organizational efficiencies, according to the announcement statement.
