Sears Launches CE Trade-In Program
Sears, under the auspices of its Sears Blue Electronics Crew, has launched a trade-in and recycling program for electronics. The free program, administered along with Gazelle, will allow customers to turn in their used electronics in exchange for Sears gift cards.
"Sears Blue Electronics Crew's trade-in program is a great option for customers who want to turn their used electronics into potential buying power, while also helping conserve the environment," said Karen Austin, president of Sears' electronics division, said as part of the announcement.
"We are proud that through this partnership with Gazelle, approximately 90 percent of the home electronics items that costumers send in are expected to be reused and the remainder will be responsibly recycled. This prevents products from ending up in landfills, making Sears a leader in eliminating e-Waste."
