Sennheiser showcased its latest addition to the Momentum line at last week’s New York City-held CanJam. The recently introduced Momentum True Wireless Bluetooth earphones ($299) offer Sennheiser’s audiophile 7mm dynamic drivers, as well as voice assistant capability using Apple Siri or Google Assistant.
A built-in Transparent Hearing feature helps users stay aware of their surroundings; a double tap on an earphone turns on two internal microphones, making it possible to hear sound from the environment to increase situational awareness, or to allow participation in conversations without removing the ear buds. Fingertip control also applies to controlling music and answering calls.
The earphones’ app also provides fine-tuning and personalization of equalization settings. They further offer four hours of battery life, and that extends to 12 hours with on-the-go charging that takes place inside their case, and that is activated as soon as the earphones are put away. They are also IPX4-rated splash-resistant.
