Sharp Brings Aquos Experience to New York
Sharp Electronics has unveiled a literal tower of Aquos LCD TVs in New York's historic Grand Central Terminal, as part of the Aquos Experience. The 43 TVs of multiple sizes, which are stacked in the shape of a Christmas tree, will remain in the terminal for the entire holiday season.
The Aquos Experience is tied in with both Sharp's sponsorship of the Grand Central Terminal Kaleidoscope Light Show and the "significant donation" the company plans to make to the HOPE Program, a charity that helps participants find and keep jobs. HOPE, with Sharp's help, will launch the Green Collar Project, which will help program participants find "green collar" jobs.
Sharp is also holding a contest to give away each of the 43 TVs in the display; it will donate $1 to the HOPE program for everyone who enters the contest.
