Sharp this week announced the sequel to its hugely successful Aquos LCD TV. The second-generation Aquos will appear this month in a 32” denomination. The new product is specifcally targeted at the gaming community, Sharp said in its announcement.
The new Aquos will come equipped with 1080p “full HD” capability, meant to bring out “the highest frame rates of even the most challenging video games.” It also comes in three finish colors: black, white, and “dark wine red.” Other special features include a “Vyper Drive”- meant to reduce lag between console output and the TV display- and a “game mode” button on the remote control.
The new Aquos will be available in all three colors later this month at a suggested retail price of $1,599.99.
