Sharp Shows Newest 4K Ultra HD TVs
Sharp Electronics Marketing Co. of America President Jim Sanduski presented two new series of Sharp Aquos 4K Ultra HD TVs at a New York City press event Wednesday, while also stating the company's commitment to the U.S. market.
"The TV market is a brutal market and Sharp has had some financial struggles. That said, Sharp has secured additional bank funding and expects to report an operating profit this fiscal year. We have no intention of vacating the U.S. market," Sanduski stated.
The remarks were made in the context of the company presenting its full nine-SKU third-generation 4K UHD sets, which span seven sizes within three distinct series, and start at a 43-inch screen size carrying a street price of $599 up through an 80-inch set at just under $5,000.
