Sharp’s All-Star Plans Underway
Sharp’s sponsorship of Major League Baseball is set to go into high gear this week, as the annual All-Star Game festivities get underway at New York’s Yankee Stadium.
Sharp, whose Aquos line is the official high-definition television of Major League Baseball, will be conducting a sweepstakes promotion, called “Winning Lineup,” in which prizes such as vacations and the chance to meet various Major Leaguers. As part of this, 12 grand prize winners will actually receive LCD TVs that are “delivered” to their home by a ballplayer. This is being done as part of a new, additional partnership between Sharp and baseball’s players’ association.
In addition, street teams will travel New York during All-Star week, handing out information about the contest, and Sharp will have a presence at the All-Star Fanfest at the Javits Convention Center.
