Shawn DuBravac, Ph.D., the longtime resident economist at the Consumer Technology Association, has moved on to start a new consulting venture. In a statement, CTA announced that DuBravac, who most recently was the Chief Economist for the association, will continue to consult on specific projects at CES 2018.
As he leaves to start a new consulting firm—Astra Insights—DuBravac brings to a close a 12-year run with CTA. He started in 2005 as a staff economist before later being promoted to Chief Economist and Senior Director of Research. During that time, he helped put together countless research white papers, presented key tech trends at many a CES, and helped cover innovation in the consumer tech industry by speaking to analysts and constantly fielding calls and questions.
