SimpliSafe Adds Smart Home Lock to its Arsenal
SimpliSafe has launched an array of door sensors, smoke detectors, temperature monitors, and cameras over the course of the last decade. Now, the Boston-based smart home company is extending beyond its bread and butter with the addition of the SimpliSafe Smart Home Lock.
At 0.9 inches, SimpliSafe says its lock is the thinnest on the market—and one of the cheapest too at just $99. The ever-so-sleek design will be available in three colors: black on black, white on white, or white with a nickel-colored thumb turn.
"Many smart locks are large and bulky—they stick out from the door, physically and visually," SimpliSafe Head of Design Dirk Ahlgrim said in a statement. "We designed the SimpliSafe Smart Lock to be slim and modern, as well as easy and fast to install."
