Syntax-Brillian and China Sounth Industries Group Corporation have teamed up to create Sino-Brillian Display Technology Corporation, which will create and sell LcoS-based light engines to the television manufacturing industry in China and, eventually, worldwide. The joint venture was announced in April of this year and Monday it was announced that operations have commenced at a facility in Nanyang, China. China South has a 51 percent interest in the new company, which aims to combine their optical component experience with Syntax-Brillian’s LCoS experience. Syntax-Brillian chairman and CEO Vincent F.
