Frear, speaking at the UBS Global Media & Communications Conference, said that the Department of Justice has “little left to do” in considering the merger. if the DOJ approves the combination of the only two satellite companies, the only remaining hurdle would be approval by the Federal Communications Commission.
The CFO added that, should the merger fail, Sirius will not offer a la carte pricing, which it has offered to do if the merger goes through.
