Sixth Avenue Electronics Ordered Shuttered
A New Jersey court has ordered retailer Sixth Avenue Electronics to shutter its three remaining locations, according to court documents obtained by CEPro.com.
According to the ruling, filed late last month in the United States District Court District of New Jersey, the order is a result of a lawsuit by GE Commercial Distribution Finance Corp. (CDF), which claims it is owed $5.8 million by Sixth Avenue. The order was a temporary one, although it forced the shut down of the chain's three remaining stores, in addition to a distribution center.
In addition, CEPro said, Toshiba has sued the retailer claiming it is owed $1.2 million.
