Man Arrested in Abt Credit Scam
A man in the Chicago area was arrested for pulling an identity theft scam in which he made more than $50,000 in fraudulent purchases at Abt Electronics. According to the Chicago Tribune, the 55-year-old man had set up an account under a co-signer's name- without that person's permission- and run up the fraudulent purchases. He was charged with forgery and identity theft.
Man Steals From South Dakota Walmart
A 53-year-old man in Vermillion, S.D. was arrested and charged with stealing more than $1,000 in items from an area Walmart. According to Keloland.com, the man hid the items inside a box, and also replaced sales tags with others.
