Promotional social media is one of the most important tools for targeting a younger audience. Of the available Web sites, the three social giants are MySpace, Facebook and Twitter—in order starting with the most effective for our businesses.
MySpace has lost a lot of its strength on the West Coast. This may be due to a number of things, including both Facebook and Twitter making their own Hollywood appearances. As a promotional business tool, however, MySpace is still the most useful, and will be the central focus of this discussion. MySpace gives you the most room to fully customize the layout of your page; that combined with the sheer ability to reach out to more people leaves MySpace alone at the top, in my opinion.
A business could run itself from a MySpace page. You can not only promote a product, but you can sell it as well. With full access to HTML coding, your MySpace page is a limitless entity to do with what you will. Neither Facebook nor Twitter allows for this much control.
