Sony announced Wednesday that it will soon introduce its first-ever 3D-enabled Blu-ray Disc player. The BDP-S470 player can be upgraded, through a firmware update available later this year, to play Blu-ray-capable 3D content.
The company also said that three other Sony products- the BDP-S570 Blu-ray Disc model and the BDV-E770W and BDV-E570 Blu-ray home theater systems- will also be Blu-ray 3D-capable once the firmware update is available. The products will arrive in Sony Style stores this month.
The S570 will arrive in February at an MSRP of around $250. The S470 will be available in February for $200, while the S370 will arrive in February for an estimated $180.
